Discover Center for Serving Leadership’s robust online course that will introduce you to The Five Actions of Serving LeadershipTM created by Dr. John Stahl-Wert; John has pioneered training solutions for thirty years, working with organizations around the world that want to produce outstanding results by investing in their people. He has written eight books, including the international best-sellers, The Serving Leader and Ten Thousand Horses.

John has coached executives in Progress Rail (a Caterpillar Company), Pan Pacific Hotel Group (Singapore), Honda’s North American Lean Network, the Veterans Administration, hundreds of other businesses in the U.S., Singapore, and Hong Kong.

For eighteen years, John served as president and CEO of Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, founded the International Training Institute for Leadership Foundations, Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience, Amachi Pittsburgh, City as Parish, and The Union Project.

John is married for 42 years to Milonica, his business partner. They love designing and building things, traveling, going to church, and spending time with their daughters, son-in-law, and grandson.

  • If for any reason the course schedule does not work for you, please contact us and indicate your availability. We will continue to offer cohorts that begin at different times.
  • You will have access as long as you keep your username and password! Once signed up, the resources found in the course are yours to keep!
  • If you are unable to attend one of the training sessions, you will have access to the recording of the session. Your facilitator will make this available to you.
  • You WILL receive a certificate of completion upon completion! We hope it is a constant reminder of your commitment to making positive transformations for yourself, your organization and your world.
  • You`ll have access to the materials as soon as you sign up and login!  Each of the 8 online sections should take less than two hours to complete, including the time to complete workbook exercises and planners. A best practice is to allow yourself at least one focused hour at a time to work through the course.

This course is designed for you to work at your own pace as you strengthen your leadership ability. You will work through online material and workbooks independently at your convenience. This course has 7 sections.

How to Approach Your Coursework Each of the 7 online sections should take less than 60 minutes to complete, including the time to complete workbook reflection exercises. You will gain the greatest value by putting thoughtful consideration into each of the workbook exercises – this is where theory is put into action – and giving yourself plenty of time to apply the work in each section before moving on to the next.
