History of Our Logo
SHIP
Stahl-Wert Holdings Intellectual Property
On January 1, 2011 Stahl-Wert Holdings IP, LLC (SHIP) was born. Our first logo was a full-bodied ship sailing on the open sea. Leadership was the focus of our company and we enjoyed the triple strength of using the image of a ship in our logo:
- SHIP is an integral part of the word LEADERSHIP
- SHIP was the acronym for the legal name of our company
- The image of a ship sailing at sea depicts the dynamic qualities of leadership.
- Ships need captains (leaders) at the helm
- Captains need tools (compass, map, knowledge, experience, skill)
- A captained ship needs a destination
- A destination demands a journey filled with challenge and adventure
Our Current Logo!
Center for Serving Leadership®
Our current Logo was simplified in 2013 to a pair of red sails that lift our eyes forward and upward to the true north of Great Purpose, which for CSL is our pursuit of “a thriving world in which serving is the trademark of leadership.” As with the original logo of the full-bodied ship, this simplified image of two red sails calls to mind the dynamic, challenging, and high calling of a leader in pursuit of Great Purpose.
